Once you’ve decided on a color scheme, it should be easy to come up with a great cover image to make your new social website look amazing. Follow our tips and you'll be designing like a pro in no time.
The cover image should be 980 pixels wide, and we recommend not having it higher than 220 pixels. It’s important to keep this size guide in mind to make sure you don’t end up with a cover that comes out pixelated and looks like poor quality. You also don’t want anything to get cut off.
In your preferred image editing tool (it can even be Windows Paint!), create a canvas that is 980 pixels wide and a maximum of 220 pixels high. Then, paste in whatever background you would like to have and add any images or text you would like your visitors to see in your cover.
Remember, graphics can look great, but don't add too much or you run the risk of it looking tacky. Usually keeping it simple will give you the most professional and attractive results.
