Master your advanced settings!

You will find your Advanced settings under 'setup' in your admin center. In here you are able to change settings such as stream updates, member messaging capabilities, email notifications for your members and more.

Here is a step by step guide of what every setting means:


  • User registration and sign in methods choose how members should be able to sign-up to your site

  • Allow user registration

o   Notify site administrators when new user registerschoose if you’d like to be notified when a new member joins your site

o   Require administrator approvalchoose whether you wish to manually approve a member on the site, before they gain access to browse through the site

 

  • New users created as

o   Guest – guest members can ONLY comment on blogs and do not get a member profile on your site. This is only the option to choose if you wish to have a site with minimal user interaction

o   Member – most sites choose this option, so those who sign-up to your site can interact fully with all aspects of the site, including a personal member profile

 

  • Enable real time chat bar – tick this option to provide the chat bar for your users to have one-to-one text and video chat

 

  • Enable new stream post notification email – choose whether the most recent 300 members of your site should receive notification e-mails for all activity on the site, a great way to keep them returning to the site!

 

  • Member messaging – choose whether members should be able to send each other private messages within your site
