More profile page design/editing options for admin and members.

Hi, I've been running a v1 site for over a year and have now set up a v2 site which I intend to use to replace the old one.
Most of the v2 features and set up are fine, a few gripes about some things which I might bring up in separate topics, but keeping to the point of this one, I have to say that I'm disappointed with the lack of options for editing member profile pages. For example as a site owner I would like to be able to edit the sidebar to show AdSense ads etc, but I can't do this at the moment as I have all my sidebar widgets pinned to individual pages to control the way they appear elsewhere on my site.
With the old v1 layout manager it was possible to edit the 'my profile' page and add custom html widgets to zones on the page, but this can't be done in v2 as there is no admin access to the user profile template.
Also it should be possible to add extra fields for member profiles to prompt them to add more information in a similar way to the 'profile questions' set up in v1. I think this is necessary because although it's possible for members to write anything on their profile, I think the plain box field provided can be a little off putting and having specific questions such as School, College, Work, Favourite movies, books, etc etc are more likely to elicit members to volunteer information than having to write up a bio from scratch into a blank box.

I agree! It would be nice if members could fill in basic information such as: Location, Age, Profession, Interests, Etc. :)
Good Day to you all. one of my request or question is this: When can members be able to creat their own page from their profle or anywhere in the platform, just like facebook where you can go to your profles and creat a page and post anything such as advertise items like shores watches. The second question is how can a member able to customerised their profles just like the old verson v1, but i don't see it on this verson v2. my final question is that under a member profles their should be a page for member's form for location, interest, hobbies, occupation, gender, age, and so fort. I look forwad to hear from you

Thanks for the feedback.
For members to create their own profile you need to have member sign up turned on. You need to be on the premium plan to have this functionality. I am afraid it is not possible to customize your profile design wise as a member, however members can add lots of personal information such a photos, post status', embed videos, link to their other Social networking sites and blog on their profiles.
I will also pass on the feedback regarding custom profile questions as this isn't an option on V2 at present either.

*** To Clarify*** I don't want members to create "custom profiles"... but I do want the ability to allow members to populate their profile with basic information such as Location, Job Title, Gender, and other basic information.
This allows members to connect and build relationships with other members in their local area or with members in the same career field. :) Thus building a stronger and more vibrant COMMUNITY.

Custom Profile questions are not available - but the feedback is appreciated and has been heard loud and clear by the right people, so I do hope to see this as an option in the future.
