We know that people need control over what their website looks like - without having to rely on web designers. While our design team has built some amazing themes for instant beautification, we understand that a lot of folks want to spend time creating something personal to them or their brand. Something they're proud of.

We wanted to give our users the chance to customize pretty much everything about their design - without having to go near a line of HTML or CSS code.

Enter the SocialGO 'Canvas' theme!

Backgrounds, fonts, colors, layouts, borders, sizes - most elements of your SocialGO site can be completely customized through the Canvas options menu. If this particular framework looks familiar, it's been built based on the WooThemes Canvas framework. We had WooThemes founder Adii over to SocialGO HQ last year to give us a hand structuring our theming in V2.

V2 contains a flexible templating and theming system, meaning that in future releases we will be able to offer more varied and structurally different themes. At the moment our interface only allows for interface control of 30% of the undercover smarts. We are working on exposing more to you guys as quickly as we can. We want design to be a key part of the SocialGO product. No longer should social networks have to look like a bad MySpace profile.

We will be adding additional theme options to our other themes, but for the moment Canvas gets the full suite!

To access the Canvas menu:

  • Log in to your Admin Panel
  • Select Setup > Theme
  • Choose 'Canvas' & click 'Edit Theme'

While the menu is newbie friendly, the canvas theme is also what you'll be looking for if you want to take the reigns and use your own custom CSS stylings.

Select the 'Disable All CSS Stylings' option if you want to design your site using a fresh slate

And what would be the next step after selecting 'Disable All CSS Stylings' option? Where do I write or upload my own CSS stylesheet?

Zynga acquires mobile game developer OMGPOP
Zynga Inc., eager to <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/Runescape-accounts.html" title="buy runescape accounts">buy runescape accounts</a> fast-track its presence in mobile games, on Wednesday said it has snatched up OMGPOP, the New York-based developer of Draw Something and more than 35 other titles.

The purchase price was not disclosed, but VentureBeat reported earlier this week that Zynga and Japanese mobile company Gree were both considering buying OMGPOP for approximately $200 million.

While OMGPOP has been around since 2006, it wasn't until it released Draw Something six weeks ago that the company vaulted into prominence. The game, sold for both Apple iOS and Google Android devices, challenges one player to draw a picture of an object while the other guesses what is being drawn. Downloaded more than 35 million times, Draw Something is currently the top title on Apple's App Store.

Though Zynga dominates the charts for Facebook games, occupying six of <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/Runescape-accounts.html" title="runescape accounts">runescape accounts</a> the top 10 titles within the social network, Zynga scores less well in mobile games. Its Scramble With Friends is the No. 10 title among top iOS paid applications, and Words With Friends is<a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/" title="RuneScape Gold">runescape gold</a>.

The San Francisco social games publisher has worked to beef up its presence outside of Facebook, looking to mobile platforms in particular. It launched more than 15 new games in the last six months and counted 15 million people who play its mobile games at least once a day as of Dec. 31. But the vast majority of Zynga's $1.1-billion annual revenue comes from players on Facebook, prompting Zynga to look to other platforms to grow.

Apropos of nothing, Star Trek Online edition
The last several weeks have pretty much had at least one or two major stories about a certain runescape that launched recently. So, apropos of nothing, here's a picture of Star Trek <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/Runescape-accounts.html" title="runescape accounts">runescape accounts</a>, which is not the runescape in question. It recently went free-to-play, also, which is pretty noteworthy if you haven't tried it despite wanting to see what it's like. As for me, I'm not playing it right now, but I did enjoy it when I tried!

I know -- you'd expect random cute animals from me instead. I like to break expectations.

Apropos for the end of the week, it's time for another installment of WRUP, in which we, the Massively staff members, talk about our plans for the weekend. We're also talking about what runescapes have been out the longest before we played them. So jump on past the cut to see what we're up to over the weekend, and let us know your plans in the comments!
I'll be switching to Planeshift for my next Rise and Shiny column next week, and I'll be haunting some of my usual favorites like RuneScape and Illyriad. I'm sure it will be a pretty normal weekend for me, meaning lots of runescape.

I'd have to think, but generally I try every <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/" title="rs Gold">rs gold</a> as soon as it comes out. We bought Star Wars: The Old Republic even though I did not have plans for playing it. Sometimes my wife will want it, and sometimes I just want to check out the new runescape. Also, it's my <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/" title="buy runescape gold">buy runescape gold</a> to know what's out there, and there's no better way to know but to actually play them. I guess I might wait with some free-to-play titles, since I know they will always offer me the same free access. Something about paying 60 bucks for a runescape just makes me want to get it out of the way fast.
I've been trying to get back into EverQuest II this week as my old account was converted over to a free-to-play account, but so far I've found the new business model absolutely abysmal. I can't access half my bank space or bags, most of my old gear is locked unless I subscribe, and I can't even sell things on the broker without paying cash. I'll likely give it another go this weekend or just give up and mess around in Skyrim.

I can't think of any <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/" title="RuneScape Gold">runescape gold</a> I've picked up more than a year after launch. I don't buy into hype, but if a runescape is still going strong six months after launch, it's usually worth trying. New runescapes always have very active communities, and there's something to be said for exploring a new world that nobody has documented in its entirety.
I'm boring -- still Star <a href="http://www.gold4fun.com/Runescape-accounts.html" title="buy runescape accounts">buy runescape accounts</a>: The Old Republic for me. Still working the Smuggy. I'm having a great time pre-endrunescape. Once I get there... then I'll start worrying.
